O-rengas FPM 18.0X3.0
FLUOROCARBON (VITON / FPM) Fluororubber is very suitable for use with a wide range of chemicals and substances. FPM has excellent heat resistance. It has good resistance to ozone, oxygen, mineral oil, synthetic hydraulic fluids, fuels, aromatic and many organic solvents and chemicals. FPM rubber does not have particularly good cold resistance. In static service, it is about -25ºC (no leakage has been observed at -40ºC under certain conditions). In dynamic use, -15ºC to -20ºC is achieved. Gas permeability is very low and comparable to butyl rubber. Special grades of fluororubber (VITON) are also available for different applications. Suitable for use in: - - mineral oils and fats; low swelling. ASTM oils no 1-3 - non-flammable hydraulic fluids, HFD group - silicone group and grease - vegetable fats and oils - aliphatic hydrocarbons (fuels, butane, propane, natural gases) - aromatic hydrocarbons (trichloroethylene, carbon tetrachloride) - fuels containing methanol - at high vacuum - very good resistance to ozone, weathering and ageing Not suitable for: - polar solvents (acetone, methyl ester ketone, diethyl ether, di-ethene dioxide) - glycol-based brake fluids - ammonia gas, amines, bases - low molecular organic acids (formic acid, acetic acid) - water vapour and hot water Heat resistance: Operating temperature of around +200ºC and higher temperatures momentarily, resulting in a shorter service life. Cold resistance: Lowest operating temperature -25ºC, varies depending on composition. Special grades are available for cold conditions. WARNING! Flammable Fluorine must be handled as corrosive substances.
